Some of the issues a venue could face are capacity, surrounding areas and what is needed to physically reopen a property. Things to consider are:
- The 1 metre/2 metre distancing quandary
- BBPA research: If 2 metre distancing then 30% could open, 1.5 metre distancing 50%, and 1 metre distancing just over 75% could open
- BII survey: 98% of pubs won’t open unless they can achieve 75% capacity
- BUT! Research shows customers want 2 metres distancing in venues
- Adjacent areas
- Practical considerations for opening, e.g. legionella
