Tiger Tiger in Haymarket, Central London was the venue chosen for the launch of the first scheme in the City of Westminster. BBN Leicester Square is being managed by the Heart of London Business Alliance (HoLBA), and supported by Westminster City Council (WCC) and the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).
Around 120 guests including industry leaders, Councillors, Council Officers, Senior Police Officers and Leicester Square business operators attended the event where a drinks reception kicked off the evening.
Speeches were given by Lord Smith of Hindhead, (Best Bar None Chairman), Cllr Nicky Aitken, (Leader of Westminster City Council), Rico Pieri, (Business Resilience and Night Time Manager for HoLBA) and Ian Payne, (Chairman of the Stonegate Pub Company). All offering encouragement and support for the scheme. The evening also provided the opportunity to show the new BBN film in public for the first time.
After the speeches, and the film, canapes were offered and invitees took advantage of the next hour or so to network before the event finished at 2030.
The real work in Leicester Square starts in the new year as the application phase, which begun on 30th October, will remain open until January 2018.
