Infernos nightclub in Clapham High Street was once again the venue for second Clapham Best Bar None awards. The Clapham Scheme was the winner of the Best New Scheme award at the national awards reception at the House of Lords in January , so it was great to see them celebrating their second year of success.
Tuesday 16th May saw around 170 people gather to acknowledge the cream of Clapham pubs and clubs receive their awards. The scheme, coordinated by Jeremy Keates who manages This is Clapham the local Business Improvement District (BID), put on a fantastic evening which was hosted by none other than London’s Night Czar, Amy Lame. The evening consisted of a wonderful meal followed by the awards ceremony which saw the main three awards going to The Falcon (Best Pub Award), Infernos (Best Late Night Venue Award) and Revolution (Best Bar Award). Outstanding contribution awards were presented to certain individuals along with a number of peoples choice awards. After the awards ceremony everyone moved on to an organised after party to celebrate in style.
