Probably the biggest Best Bar None awards night this year took place at The Ramside Golf and Country Club in Durham on Tuesday 21st November. Over 330 people attended a glittering black tie event to celebrate 10 years of Best Bar None in the City.
The guests were welcomed by a drinks reception with products kindly supplied by LWC and Diageo GB. Guests were then invited to take their seats.
The Chief Constable of Durham Constabulary, Mike Barton gave the opening/welcome speech which was followed fantastic 3-course meal.
After dinner the first part of the awards evening saw 33 venues receive their accreditation. This was followed by 45 minutes of entertainment from the International Spin Doctors who have been the regular entertainment at the awards night for the last 3 years.
On completion of their first set, a heart-felt speech was given by Carol Feenan, Durham Town Centre Manager and BBN Coordinator, thanking everyone for their commitment and support for the scheme over the past 10 years. This was followed by the highlight of the evening, the presentation of the BBN awards, with the Bishops Mill picking up the overall winners award.
