Best Bar None Awards celebrated at NUS conference

This years NUS Best Bar None Scheme awards evening was held at Manchester Metropolitan University on the first evening of a 2 day conference.
53 universities were recognised for achieving the Best Bar None standard with 31 universities joining their gold 100% club which means they got a perfect score for their assessment.
Bath University picked up the Overall winners award for the second year running, they not only scored 100% at their assessment but also 100% on their mystery shop as well.
Janet Heiser from Sheffield Hallam University picked up an Outstanding Commitment Award which was presented by National Coordinator, Mick McDonnell for her work in helping other universities with their Best Bar None submissions.
Almost 200 people attended the event and enjoyed a drinks reception followed by a lovely 3-course meal before the actual awards began.
The evening concluded with a disco in the main bar area, and most attendees celebrated by dancing the night away !!
