BBN launches in Leigh – Greater Manchester’s 5th Scheme

Wednesday 26th September saw approx. 50 people attend the official launch of a brand new BBN Scheme at The Lock cocktail bar in Leigh in Greater Manchester. Speeches were given by Wigan Council cabinet members, Mick McDonnell – Best Bar None National Coordinator and Police Commander Chief Inspector Nicki Tompsett who had recently moved over from Bolton, and was able to explain to a packed venue, the benefits Bolton had seen since starting their scheme 20 months ago.

After the speeches a finger buffet supplied by various pubs in the area was enjoyed by all. The landlady of The Lock, Danielle Evans, supplied some entertainment whilst 16 venues signed up to the scheme on the night. Divisional Licensing Officer Clive Rigby took names and addresses from interested parties. The evening concluded at around 2300 with everyone enjoying themselves and keen to move BBN  forward in Leigh.
